TOT'EM-UP

About the game
Tot'em-Up aims to reintroduce the well-known Pong in a fast-paced, arcade version. Also, the objective is to push the players to play back-to-back games, to have as much fun as possible and discover all the abilities given from the Totems and learn to use them to its own advantage. In the end, the game is not meant to be an "all arcade" experience, but a perfect balance between arcade and strategic gameplay and give players the opportunity to win by using their skills with a bit of chaos from the old arcade games.
The game takes its inspiration from the Maya sport Pok-a-tok.

What I have done
Since this was the first academy project, there was no experience on how to subdivide the tasks. First of all, we create a similar base Pong version, from which we start adding the new features. In this starting phase, we really work on contact, so there are no simple divisions on what has been made by whom.
In general, as a lead, I take care of all tasks we implement in this project, if not directly, at least as a supervisor.
I created the base implementation for the totems (power-ups), and from then on, we divided each other based on preferences. I take care of the majority of them.
Furthermore, I implement the dart features, the score and match management, and the UI
